      Bulk uploading production devices or consumers via a CSV file

      This article summarises how you can create large numbers of production devices or consumers in seconds

      There are two routes for uploading the CSV, depending on whether you're creating production devices or consumers.

      Bulk create production devices

      1. Select the "Production devices" page from the sidebar
      2. Click "Add production devices" and select the "Import a CSV" option
      3. Select the CSV you want to upload, follow the below file requirements
      Column Format Used for Required?
      production_device_name String Producer's name Required
      production_device_country String – ISO 3166-1 A-2 country codes Producer's country Required
      metering_point_name String Name of the metering point associated with a producer Optional
      metering_point_reference String Unique identifier for the metering point associated with a producer Required
      metering_point_grid_reference String Unique reference used by the local energy grid (e.g. MPRN in UK) Optional
      technology String – see list of possible technology types below Type of production device (e.g. Solar) Required
      subsidy_regime Boolean Whether or not the production device receives state subsidies Optional
      expected_annual_production Integer KWh value for expected production over year Optional
      registry String Name of the registry the production device is part of Optional
      registry_id String Unique identifier for the production device in the registry Optional

      1. Select the "Consumers" page from the sidebar
      2. Click "Add consumers" and select the "Import a CSV" option
      3. Select the CSV you want to upload, follow the below file requirements
      Column Format Used for Required?
      consumer_name String Consumer's name Required
      consumer_country String – ISO 3166-1 A-2 country codes Consumer's country Required
      consumer_reference String Unique identifiers from a supplier's data source (e.g. CRM or database UUID). Optional
      consumer_description String Short description Optional
      metering_point_name String Name of the metering point associated with a consumer Optional
      metering_point_reference String Unique reference of the metering point Required
      metering_point_grid_reference String Unique reference used by the local energy grid (e.g. MPRN in UK). Optional
